Thinking up stuff to fix for dinner is tough. I try to include a protein item, vegetables, and a carb/starch. It’s especially tough because my family doesn’t really eat a lot of meat. Tonight was a rare night. I fixed turkey with steamed green beans and French bread.

I get the boneless turkey roast because there is less mess and it’s a snap to slice up. The Polder brand cooking thermo/timer always cooks it up just right. I set it to 167 degrees and it beeps wildly when the turkey is done. After letting it rest about 20 minutes, I slice it up with an insanely sharp, serrated electric knife.
